Clean Up - Register 7

Oy! I didn't realize how long it had been since I posted.....

I logged on to tell a story about how well the kids were playing together yesterday. They were a little too quiet, so Neal went to check on them.
They were playing store. No problem.
They were using the treadmill as the conveyor belt. Not ... a huge problem....
They were purchasing each other.
Creative - I have to give them credit.

The kids had their Fall Festival at school tonight, and I thought you might enjoy their costumes. I think they were a hit!!

All the World is a Stage

Ok, so I am now in rehearsals for my first show since College. The closest I have gotten to acting since then is when I have lived vicariously through my kids (who are getting to be old pros at CATS Playhouse) and when I worked with the kids drama groups at church.
So I decided to jump back in and audition for Alibis - a fun little murder mystery / comedy. (Think Clue....) And, somehow, I managed to swing a part. I play a bit of an airhead. I hope that isn't the director's plan to not make me work too hard.....
If you want to come see me (leaving all tomatoes, cans, and other throw-able items at home), the show runs the first three weekends in December.

On the Road Again...

It has begun..... I got home tonight from my first trip of the month. I leave again on Monday, and will return Friday. Then I will be gone the next Wednesday. Then I will be gone the next Monday through Wednesday. Then I get a whole week at home; then I will be out the next Monday / Tuesday. I think, after that, I will get to breathe again.... Just wanted to post the update, in case I seem hard to reach for a while.....

Naomi asked yesterday "What is a President?"
William knew the answer, so he offered this reply. "He's the boss of the whole United States, but he doesn't have all of North America - that wouldn't be fair."

"Back to School Again"

(I guess if you aren't a Grease 2 fan, the title is just a title, but for those who are, I wanted to plant the song in your head for a few hours at least.)

Well, it's finally happened. I have two kids in actual school. Not pre-k. Real, all-day, actual school. Oy!!

This was their first-day-of-school picture. They also have one by "the tree" - the same one we use every year - but this one was way cuter!

William has hit some weird growth spurt. We bought him new pants last weekend, and they fit. Today, they were almost too short. Or maybe we accidentally washed them on hot. But he is freakishly taller every time I see him these days. They go in for their check-ups soon, so we will see how he measures up since last year.....

Ike
